The company is principally engaged in the business of designing, engineering, installation, maintenance, mechanical, electrical and plumbing contracts, and all works relating to heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in the Middle East for residential, commercial and industrial purposes.

Job Description

• Preparation, review, and execution of Contracts for projects specifically relating to MEP works. • Prepare contract templates, Sales / Purchasing Agreements, Sub-contracts, Consulting Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, including the review of Client / customer proposed terms and conditions • Be a part of the negotiating team of the organisation, assuming responsibility for explaining positions and resolving matters of a business nature related to the proposed contract. • Coordinate with colleagues across organizational lines to report information necessary for the Project Manager to more effectively monitor the status of the project. • Prices change orders and follows through to ensure that contractual coverage is implemented. • Draft or review any contractual letters as required. Prepares correspondences to relevant parties to comply with the provisions of the contract. Responsible for drafting notices for delays, disruptions and events which affects the progress of works. • Review and respond to all contractual notices with respect to delay and variations. • Responsible for finalising the statement of final accounts and closure of contracts. • Ensure full compliance of the contracts during all stages of the Project, including commercial close out • Monitors project expenditures versus contract cost limitations. • Identifies contractual problems and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution. • Follows up on problems demanding management attention to ensure a timely response to the client. • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field • 8 to 10 years of contract administration experience is required, experience in Qatar or GCC (preferably) • Chartered membership of CIOB or RICS • Experience in administering Contracts in MEP Projects • Experience in International contracting mechanisms e.g. FIDIC and Governmental forms • Proficient in written and spoken English with excellent interpersonal skills • Requires a working knowledge of industry business practices and contract administration principles, as well as some exposure to contract negotiations. • Experience in reviewing and preparing Contracts • Working knowledge of business software programs and ERP software typically associated with contract administration
